CHRIS | SALES
What’s your current role?
I’m an account executive in the North East region of the United States. I deal with new prospects and show them the value they can gain using SAP software.
Why did you want to be in sales?
Coming out of school I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. I’ve always been on sports teams, and I found sales to be like sports—you set your own bar. And if you work hard, it’s going to pay off.
What kind of customers do you work with?
I’ve been lucky enough to work with customers in a variety of industries from consumer goods to aerospace and defense. That’s what’s so interesting about my role at SAP—it never gets stale or old. And that’s a unique experience that I haven’t had in other jobs.
What’s the best part of your job?
I love taking what a customer wrote on a whiteboard and making it a reality.
What it’s like being a new employee?
It was a little daunting to be new. But my manager really helped make it a smooth transition by introducing me to the right resources and surrounding me with the tools to be successful. Everyone really made me feel welcome.
Why did you want to work at SAP?
Everyone knows SAP. And everyone knows what a great product they make. I also wanted to work with people who could help me on a day-to-day basis, which is important to me. Plus, I feel that SAP is a great learning environment.
