SAP in India is one of the fastest growing subsidiaries in SAP worldwide. It is also the third largest subsidiary of SAP, employing 4,000 software developers and more than 1,200 sales, consultants, and service and support professionals.
SAP in India began its operations in 1996, and today has more than 4,300 customers. Currently, SAP has a direct presence in eight cities in India, as well as in Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
For the second consecutive year, SAP was recognized by PC Quest magazine as India's
"Most Wanted IT" brand. SAP was also rated among the "Top 5 Best Workplaces" for IT software companies in the Great Place to Work Institute® study in 2008. The study recognized the effort of SAP in India to create the best work environment, with a high rating for credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
